Well, that’s the end I guess… I didn’t expect Sora’s arc to be this good. I kinda enjoyed working on this series, it was fun working with our bros in UTW.
With MM! and YNS finished, we have nothing to speedsub anymore. I can finally get some rest, or maybe I should play MW2 for a while since it’s 10:30 already.
P.S.: 480p is encoding right now, it’s going to take a while.

Definitely felt like they hinted at a Kozue arc, so it seems likely they’d do either an OAD or perhaps extra episodes with the DVDs/Blu-rays.
We didn’t really see much of her, did we? Reminds me of Ayase from Ore no Imouto a little.

I thought that too at first, but it seems pretty clear at the end that they survived and eloped overseas. After all, it’s pretty hard to send a text message from the grave.
also, how did he send Kazuha a text message? Did he even get her number in this continuity? And did Akira follow them and see them at the lake, or not?
My mistake, Kazuha’s the only other one with a cell, which is why he texted her. As to how he got the number, they must have all exchanged numbers early on, either as friends or because of small-town neighbourliness and helping each other out. She at least has his number in the second episode, when she’s about to call him about Sora’s uniform arriving.

Are there any countries where siblings can marry? Or at least where there’s less taboo about it? I seem to remember a news story where a European brother and sister, separated at birth and reunited in adulthood, were appealing the marriage laws(unsuccessfully), and even had kids…
btw, psychologically speaking, the anime is fairly plausible – look up GSA and the Westermarck effect for more details. Also reminds me of Dr. Frankenstein(the scientist, not the monster)’s wife, who was adopted as his sister when they were young.
Ah, I found one! To be happy together, the twins just need to emigrate to… the province of Bali in Indonesia.
Not sure if this is still the case, but traditionally, twins of the opposite gender would often marry, as they were thought to be the perfect match for each other, and moreover were believed to have been “intimate” since before they were born.
Gives hope to the couple from “Boku wa Imouto” as well, I suppose.
Actually, there’s a traditional belief in Bali that twins of the opposite gender had a sexual intercourse in their mother’s womb. Judging from Haru’s text to Kazuha, I’m pretty sure they moved to Bali.

and a director did really a good job. Sora’s arc just… should be the last one and “this good”. i respect the authors for that.

Kinda disappointed that the class prez, Kuranaga Kozue, didn’t get her own arc.
Kozue’s and Yahiro’s routes can only be found in the Yosuga no Sora Fandisk, Haruka na Sora, so I’m guessing on OVA’s or OAD’s?

I don’t think you should take my word for it. It’s the fandisc for the visual novel, so I’m not sure if they would do an adaptation of the bonus routes… I hope they do, though… even though it might be H…
I DLed the HCG for that Fandisk, but other than Sora, there are only Yahiro and Motoka in it…
They hinted Kozue in the anime ED tho, so we can only hope.
This anime is unexpected good, right? I don’t usually DL blue-ray’s fansub because they took up a lot of disk space, but I am looking forward for Yosuga no Sora.

100% certain that there is a Kozue route in “Haruka na Sora”. Haven’t played through it though. But it’s there alright.

Thanks for translating this series – episode 11 and 12 made me unable to concentrate at work the next day after I watched it XD.
After watching the ending though, I felt that it wasn’t the ending but rather the beginning of the troubling things that lie ahead of them. Right now, they’re a ball of hormones and they’re at the stage where as long as there is “love and sex” it’s all good. Once they get past that stage, there’s 2 huge obstacles to overcome:
- Social acceptance (may affect work)
- Children (if Sora’s not already pregnant – Haru DID bang her an awful lot…)
I suppose developers of H-games and visual novels leave out these issues so the audience can enjoy the hormones at work and ignore the problems of life.
P.S. I think it’s a good thing that Haru & Sora got busted so early in their relationship, gives them a good wake-up call. Imagine if they didn’t get busted…they’ll be doing it like rabbits until she’s pregnant for sure…
Well, both points were brought up, but not entirely solved.
For the first – They’re going overseas, so no-one will know them(except the friend of their father’s? How much does he know?) – perhaps they plan to pretend to be a young couple that moved in together, or even pretend to be married. Close friendships remain a problem – do they lie to everyone? Do they need to keep their new guardian in the dark until they turn 18? Will they then need to move again?
As to children – assuming they want to raise a family, even adoption might be a problem – they can’t legally marry(afaik- I’m not an international law expert), and they don’t give out kids to just anyone. The easiest solution (barring the obvious for genetic reasons), I would think, would be using a sperm donor.
I wonder how Sora would feel about all that – She doesn’t care what people think, and is impulsive. Then again, she showed some small level of restraint when asked to, and didn’t feel any need to broadcast their relationship. I think as long as she can be together with Haruka, and can do all the normal couple things, she’ll be happy.
TL;DR: Yes, they do have many obstacles to their happiness. Nonetheless, they have promised to figure them out together. Do they have a chance? As Nao put it, I want to believe they do.
P.S.: It definitely seemed like a lot of sex (though only 3x are shown), but all told, didn’t it last about a week? Maybe she’s in the wrong part of her cycle to conceive, and knows it?

facing an uncertain future while continuing an incestuous relationship … I know it’s painful to be separated and all … this ending gives me a feeling of sadness for the twins and the challenges they face ahead … I guess the absence of parents can do to them …
a curious ending from my perspective … I feel the sadness of everyone around them when they left and the memories they left behind …
one thing though … who saved them from drowning??? I know haru can’t swim & we never saw sora swim even with her health issues …
i dunno how it came to be a good ending though … lack of death I guess ??? can anyone help me break it down?
Actually, Sora did swim in episode 3, if only waist-deep and with a swimming ring.
So, as to who saved them, I have 3 alternate theories:
1. Sora – this is the simplest explanation, especially as to why they are alone afterward, even until dawn breaks.
2. Akira saved them. We know she can swim fairly well, we even know she swims naked in that very lake occasionally.
She saw Haruka go up the path (the camera angle suggests she saw a glimpse of him past the arch and trees), and followed him discreetly. When they went under, she dived in and saved them. They were unconscious but breathing, so perhaps she left to get help? Perhaps Nao met her and suggested they leave them alone for a bit?
3. Nao saved them. She’s in the swimming club, iirc, and is out looking for them.
Perhaps she stopped by Akira’s house and heard of the mysterious opened gate. She then dashed over to the lake on her own or with Akira, and made it just in time to pull them out. The second ending credits seem to support this: they clearly show the siblings thrashing about in the lake, until they are saved by life-preserver Nao.
