Thanks for doing this series. But, will you release a patch or reencode of 9-10 to fix the few frames that were corrupted?
As far as I know there was only a glitch in episode 9, and that was a problem with the bluray itself. Well, comfag’s gone for a while and everyone knows I can’t encode for shit, so you’ll have to bear with this for now. It’s possible we’ll v2 this eventually.
Thanks a million for doing the whole series in BD. Not to sound ungrateful but why were the last 2 episodes have much larger file size? It’s like 500 – 600 mb more per episode than the previous ones.
For the 165128552nd time, Encoding for Dummies:
In order to achieve the best quality you encode using crf: which basically means letting the program bloat the encode where necessary to maintain the best picture possible. Episodes 11 and 12 are full of details, flashing, fast scenes… and the current file size is the result. This is, by the way, also one of the reasons why gg encodes are massive at times (people seem to enjoy whining about that, so I’m pointing it out).

I heard there is an OVA release. Are you guys gonna release it as well?
There is no OVA. Whatever people tend to mark as the OVA is the extended episode 12, which is ridiculous because it’s just the full version of episode 12, instead of the TV version which randomly cut off and ended with a cliffhanger. Even myanimelist.net had this OVA separate but they removed it and merged it with the series afterwards. Ergo, there’s no OVA, only the full version of the final episode.

I just checked both 720p and 1080p version and there are no corrupted frames whatsoever. Check your file CRC to make sure the file’s not corrupted on your side.
I checked the CRC and it is correct.
Are there any changes in the batch files compared to the ones released singularly?
